Eiki Nestor and Gerli Liivet bring valuable long-term experience that will help improve the quality of our care services,\u201d Kukk added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Gerli Liivet<\/strong> has worked in nursing for over 20 years \u2014 as a practitioner, lecturer, and now as a leader. Since 2016, she has served as Vice President of the Estonian Nurses Union. \u201cI am delighted to join the S\u00fcdamekodud team. I hope to use my expertise to support the improvement of nursing and care quality, both from the residents\u2019 and employees\u2019 perspectives,\u201d Liivet said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Eiki Nestor<\/strong> is a long-time politician, member of the Social Democratic Party, and has previously served as Minister of Social Affairs and Speaker of Parliament. He is also Chairman of the Estonian Association of People with Mobility Disabilities and of the Transport and Road Workers\u2019 Union Council. \u201cIn elderly care, things are finally starting to move \u2014 and in the right direction. I\u2019ll do my best to contribute,\u201d said Nestor.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><strong>S\u00fcdamekodud has significantly expanded across Estonia in 2023.<\/strong>\nIn August, Valkla S\u00fcdamekodu opened a newly renovated building wing, offering 78 new modern and cozy rooms. Design work has also begun on the final wing, which upon completion at the end of 2024 will accommodate up to 250 residents.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In September, S\u00fcdamekodud added its 11th care home \u2013 Paide S\u00fcdamekodu.<\/li>\n<li>By the end of 2023, an extension will be completed at Lihula S\u00fcdamekodu.<\/li>\n<li>Soon, the cornerstone will be laid for Tartu S\u00fcdamekodu in the Raadi district, where the first stage of the brand-new care home will be completed in July 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>S\u00fcdamekodude n\u00f5ukoguga liitusid Eiki Nestor ja Gerli Liivet Eesti suurima eakatekodude grupi S\u00fcdamekodud AS n\u00f5ukoguga liitusid endine parlamendispiiker Eiki Nestor ja Eesti \u00d5dede Liidu asepresident Gerli Liivet.
