{"id":1895,"date":"2022-05-09T04:00:38","date_gmt":"2022-05-09T01:00:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sudamekodud.ee\/sudamekodud-ostis-pirita-pansionaadi\/"},"modified":"2022-05-09T04:00:38","modified_gmt":"2022-05-09T01:00:38","slug":"sudamekodud-ostis-pirita-pansionaadi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sudamekodud.ee\/en\/sudamekodud-ostis-pirita-pansionaadi\/","title":{"rendered":"S\u00fcdamekodud Acquired the Pirita Pansionaat"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>S\u00fcdamekodud Acquired the Pirita Pansionaat<\/h2>\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><strong>The elderly care operator S\u00fcdamekodud has acquired its tenth facility \u2014 the Pirita care home, Tallinn\u2019s largest private elderly care centre.<\/strong><br>\nThe 255-bed care home building, completed last year, is owned by the <a href=\"https:\/\/eften.ee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EfTEN Real Estate Fund<\/a>.<br>\nIn addition to the Pirita care home building, the fund\u2019s subsidiaries recently acquired the property of Valkla S\u00fcdamekodu and the building right for a new S\u00fcdamekodu near the Estonian National Museum (ERM) in Tartu. EfTEN is investing up to ten million euros in developing new living environments for the elderly.\nAccording to S\u00fcdamekodud co-owner and Chairman of the Board <strong>Martin Kukk<\/strong>, the company has grown over five years into Estonia\u2019s largest elderly care provider. \u201cWe are represented in rural areas, and with the establishment of Valkla S\u00fcdamekodu and the acquisition of the Meriv\u00e4lja and Pirita care homes, we have also become the largest provider in the capital and its surroundings,\u201d said Kukk.<br>\nKukk added that Estonia still lacks sufficient home care services, and S\u00fcdamekodud aims to become a pioneer in that field in the coming years.<br>\nEfTEN also sees great potential in Estonia\u2019s care home sector \u2014 in Scandinavia, there are many real estate funds dedicated solely to elderly care homes, said <strong>Viljar Arakas<\/strong>, Member of the Management Board of EfTEN Real Estate Fund III.<br>\nWith the acquisition of the Pirita care home, S\u00fcdamekodud now provides services to nearly 1,000 residents and employs more than 300 people.
