This year, Women’s Day at Käru Südamekodu was celebrated a little differently than usual – throughout the day, cheerful activities took place in different departments. A touch of glamour filled Käru Südamekodu with joy and memories.

For example, handbags, jewellery, hats and sunglasses helped create the atmosphere, and fun photos were taken with them. The day ended with a relaxing neck and shoulder massage, and a touch of perfume on the wrist added a lively note for everyone. All who wished could also try beauty products not usually used daily: in addition to cream, powder, lipstick and more. According to participants, the perfume made them feel several years younger.

During the day, the meaning of Women’s Day was also discussed, and people recalled why women once needed handbags and what they used to carry in them. According to the staff of Käru Südamekodu, such moments are very important, as they bring joy and variety to residents’ days and create a warm, home-like feeling.
