Owner of the Südamekodu Care Home Group: Higher Fees Will Also Bring Better-Quality Care

Chairman of the Board and co-owner of the Südamekodud elderly care home network Martin Kukk says that the biggest challenge remains the chronic labour shortage. According to him, in four to five years, no care home will be able to offer places covered solely by pensions.

It’s been almost half a year since the care reform began. Are there any results yet?

“Five months is too short a period to draw conclusions about the outcomes of such a major reform — too little time has passed. We can start talking about real results in a year or two,” Kukk said.
